iXplor - Device Sensor Data (iOS) · Effective July 5, 2026

Summary: we collect nothing. Everything iXplor records stays on your device. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The developer never receives your data.

What the app records

When you start a tracking session, iXplor records data from your device's sensors: GPS location (including in the background, if you allow it), compass heading, barometric pressure, motion and activity data (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, detected activity, step counts), battery level, and any points of interest you log. All of this is stored in a local database on your device only.

What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you explicitly export it. iXplor has no backend service of its own and makes no network requests on its own behalf. The only way data leaves your device is when you initiate an export yourself — via the iOS share sheet (Files, AirDrop, Mail, etc.) or to an HTTP server that you configure and control. Where you send your data is entirely your choice; the developer is not a recipient.

Credentials

If you configure an export destination that requires authentication, the credential (token, password, or API key) is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. It is never included in exports, logs, or app settings, and it is deleted when you remove the destination.

Permissions

iXplor asks for location permission (including "Always", so recording can continue while your screen is locked) and motion & fitness permission. These are used solely to record your sessions. You can change or revoke them at any time in iOS Settings, and recording only happens after you tap Start Tracking.

Deleting your data

Delete individual sessions in the app (Data → Manage Sessions), or delete the app to remove everything. Because the developer holds no copy of your data, there is nothing to request deletion of on our side.

Children

iXplor does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
